An inspiration

Wildfires have burned down much of the surrounding Austin area. The smell is strong, in even in the downtown.

I have been following Carol Maine for a minute now, but lately, her story has been something a bit more than an art blog.

Carol had to evacuate her house due to the fires. She has still been posting her paintings, and, all the while, wondering out loud if her house was still there.

I love this image. It caught my attention, and then I read on. Her house burned down in the wildfires.
